We dedicate our work to research and education on managerial decision and planning problems as well as on the foundations of auctions, social choice, and game theory. We conduct theoretical and experimental research and collaborate with industry partners in these fields.
Current research topics include market design, algorithmic game theory, computational social choice, and discrete optimization in various applications. For BSc/MSc theses applications, please see Theses topics. |

Several papers of our group are mentioned in the writeup by the Nobel Prize Committee on the scientific background of the award. |

As part of the coursework for the Seminar on Data Mining, the student team "Tera Miners" with Michael Gigler, Nikita Makarov, Franziska Röber, and Felix Schramm was announced the Overall Winner of the world finals in the 2020 Teradata Data Challenge.
