mi_gebaeude1Source: TUM We dedicate our work to research and education on managerial decision and planning problems as well as on the foundations of auctions, social choice, and game theory. We conduct theoretical and experimental research and collaborate with industry partners in these fields.

Current research topics include market design, algorithmic game theory, computational social choice, and discrete optimization in various applications.

M. Bichler organizes the 2nd INFORMS Workshop on Market Design co-located with the ACM EC 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The textbook on Market Design by M. Bichler was nominated by the WK Operations Research for the VHB textbook prize.
M. Bichler was ranked 3rd out of 2500 scholars in the management sciences in the publication ranking by the Wirtschaftswoche.
M. Bichler receives a grant within DFG's Reinhart Koselleck program (>1Mio€). 
F. Brandl receives a two-year DFG Research Fellowship.
M. Bichler wins the INFORMS ISS Design Science Award 2018.

M. Bichler presents at the Lisbon Meetings in Game Theory and Applications and at the Econ/CS seminar at Duke University
M. Bichler and V. Fux are winners of the EURO Excellence in Practice Award 2018 which was presented at the EURO annual meeting in Valencia with 2500 attendees this year.
F. Brandt received the 2018 ISAM supervisory award (1st prize) for excellence in doctoral research supervision.
